A Clock in Progress

A Clock in Progress is consisted of three clocks. The first clock is just a normal clock. The second clock is caught in a perpetual moment, with its secondhand twitching in-between 11:59:59 and 12:00:00, symbolizing a state being on the cusp of transition but never fully crossing it. The second clock, in contrast, will have its secondhand going backwards (anti-clockwise), suggesting a potential reversal of time and a desire to reclaim past moments. Together, they invite viewers to reflect on their normalized idea of what a clock should do, as well as the instability of the idea of “now”, the anticipation of change, and the nature of temporal boundaries.
